First Love

You know who I am, Lord
I've nothing to hide.
You see through the mask
To the woman inside.
And though I am filled
With weakness and sin,
You've purchased my heart
As you settled right in.
You swept out the darkness,
Tore down the deceit
Remodeled my life
From my head to my feet.
You saw what was broken;
One touch made it whole.
You ignited a passion
Down deep in my soul.
And now my freed heart,
Once heavy with shame,
Longs to dance in the street
And sing praise to your name.
Jesus, sweet Jesus,
My Savior, My King,
You are my First Love.
My everything,
And I can not wait
For that glorious day
When you come in the clouds
Just to whisk me away.
I'll trade this world's rags
In for radiant white,
Behold my dear Bridegroom
Adorned in pure light.
Then as all my cares
Fade from present to past,
I'll fall in the arms
Of my True Love at last.
