Toad Hall's "OFFICIAL" List of Suppliers

The list below  represents the establishments that I normally buy my gun furniture and finishing supplies from when the shop doesn't craft or whomp them up.  Many of these people are my long time personal friends.  These folks have the best parts and rifle kits money can buy and their reputations and business ethics are tip-top.  I have never had Caveat Emptor enter my head when dealing with them.  I git just what I pay for and lots of times, more.  I'm sure you will, too.  Drop them a line by snail-mail or Click on their e-mail address and git yourself a catalog!  * Indicates they carry my book, so if you got an order goin' in to them, save some postage for yerself and order "Notes" or "Wooden Rifling Machine", too!

Brownells, 200 South Front Street, Montezuma, Iowa  50171-1000   BrownelUSA@AOL  Greatest gunsmith supplier on the planet!  IOWA born and bred, too!!

*Centaur Forge, Ltd., Box 340, Burlington, WI 53105-0340   info@centaurforge.com   America's blacksmith supply house!

*Dixie Gun Works, Inc., Box 130, Union City, TN  38281     dixiegun@iswt.com  This is the "mother-lode" of muzzleloading supply houses!  For those of you who are interested in rifling barrels or how to do it, this is the place where you can get your hands on the book "How to Build the Antique Rifling Machine" by J. Seabolt. I use a couple of modified versions of his pattern and I must say they do crank out the barrels!

Jack's Stock Shop & Custom Muzzleloading Rifles, Box 890, CR 400, Corinth, MS  38834  (662-286-5014  FAX: 662-286-4253)  Jack Garner was the original owner of TVM and an old friend.  I get wood and parts from him on occasion and he makes a hell of a rifle.  He provides the stocks for my Iowa/Missouri rifles and treats me fair 'n square.  I ain't ever got beat dealin' with Jack.  Give him a call. Tell him I said hello.

*Log Cabin Shop, Box 275, Lodi, Ohio  44254       logcabin@logcabinshop.com  A family tradition that has become an institution!  And vice-versa!

*Track Of The Wolf, 18308 Joplin Street N.W., Elk River, MN  55330-1773  track@iaxs.net    David Ripplinger is an old friend of mine, one I trust implicitly, and you just don't git better service or treated any fairer!  Check out their online catalog today.

*The new blacksmith supply company at www.piehtoolco.com is the most recent firm to carry my "Notes". Amy Pieh ramrods this outfit and her Dad used to own Centaur Forge.  He was one swell fellow to me and helped me to get started years ago. You're gonna get fair treatment from this lady (it's gotta run in the family) so do yourself a favor and check out her website.  There's a catalog as well as online shopping.  Phone number is: 888-743-4866.  Tell Amy the fatboy at Toad Hall said Hi!

And last, but not least, fellow Viet Nam veteran:

Jim Chambers Flintlocks, Ltd., 116 Sam's Branch Rd., Candler, NC 28715 flintlocks@worldnet.att.net.  If you want the world's premier rifle kit or a lock, Jim has just what you need!!  This is the home of Siler Locks, the best in the world, and the now famous "White Lightin' " vent hole liner.  NONE better!!
