Odds 'n Ends This page is designed to be a "catch all" for photos of my shop visitors, awards, and other things that need displayed somewhere. The captions will suffice for any explanations.
SHOP VISITORSThis is Andrew Thompson and his wheellock. He stopped by the shop one evening and we shot the breeze for a while. He is an up and coming gunsmith. Ron Ehlert assisted him with his wheelie's construction. Very classy stock shape. That pesky Bill Knapp outta Michigan stopped by the shop again....you know....the "bad penny" syndrome. He bought one of my earlier creations and brought it by the shop for a family reunion. You can see he's as proud as a peacock with his acquisition of the rifle pictured on my Home Page. Bookie's Done Been Put In A Real Book! Like I said up front, I was featured in a special book that I received in the mail recently. Here's a few photos for your viewing pleasure. First off, is the book's cover. Looks pretty handsome, eh? Make sure you enlarge this photo. It's beautiful! This second photo is of Øyvind firing the rifle "Death Wind" that I made for him some years ago. Norway sure looks rugged, but beautiful. I think I'd like to go hunting with him on that side of the pond someday. Last, but not least, yers truly! Can you read th' writin'?
Øyvind's Medal Øyvind Flatnes of Norway took the Second Place Medal in the Maximiliam Class at the Norsk Svartkruttunion national shoot! Here are a couple of photos of his award and his hog rifle. Beautiful Medal, don't you think?
Henrik's Medals Photo by Big John of Denmark Yaaa-hooooo! Henrik Elmer, Toad Hall Rifleshop' s long distance Danish apprentice has kicked some major butt with his flint rifle Virginia at the 2005 Danske Mesterskaber in Copenhagen!! Henrik made Virginia from scratch and took the gold at 100 meters, prone, and the silver at 50 meters, standing. Man, my buttons are just poppin' off over this! Those medals are simply gorgeous. Virginia is pictured on the Dansk Side or Danish page. Photo by Big John of Denmark Now, he's probably gonna kill me for saying this, but in this photo, Henrik's wondering if he dumped powder down the barrel. Photo by Big John of Denmark Yep. Looks like he did!!
