Plans are being developed for Vacation Bible School beginning Sunday, July 29. Look for more details in the coming weeks. It promises to be a time of great fun and learning!
The Women’s Bible Study will be held at the home of Janet Neumann (west entrance) on Wednesday, July 18 at 5:30. The lesson will be taken from the Lutheran Woman Today Bible Study on Act Boldly for Mission, Part l. This is found in the June issue. Extra copies will be available if you do not subscribe or no longer have that issue.
Youth going into 9th – 12th grades are invited to attend College Prep 101. This is a program designed to help students prepare for college. From the basics of the admissions process to financial aid questions to picking a major we will explore the steps to prepare for college.
President Kent Henning (Wartburg College, class of 1980) from Grand View College will give a keynote address over lunch. The rest of the program will include:

· Financial Planning for College
· Choosing the Right Major
· The College Experience 101
· Wartburg Session
· Application and Scholarship Essay Writing 101
· Investing in a Small, Liberal Arts College Education

PARISH RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Congregational Council has approved the formation of a Parish Relations Committee. This committee will serve in helping develop a vision for the congregation and the staff. They will serve in facilitating communication toward maintaining positive community and helping the staff evaluate and maintain an effective ministry. The committee has met and is working on their first goal of writing job descriptions for all paid staff. Members serving on the committee are Ron Sundberg, Gary DeWall, Donna Walter, Roger Peterson, Bonnie Swanson and Chelsea Truckenmiller. Alma Shell and Pastor Badgley are participating on an as need basis. The next meeting is Wednesday, July 18, 6:00 p.m.
