Welcome to All!
The Lord is risen indeed! The open tomb of Jesus is the door to a new way of being in the world. Easter is not one day but fifty. For a week of weeks—fifty days—the church will explore the dimensions of this new life and raise a joyful alleluia!
Everyone is welcome to the Lord’s Table this morning. On this day of resurrection and celebration our risen Lord comes to us in the Eucharistic meal. The ushers will direct you forward down the center aisle forming two lines coming to the two distribution stations. Please return to your seat by the side aisle. Persons in the balcony and choir loft also come down the center aisle and return by the side aisles. There is grape juice in the center ring of the trays (in the glass cups) for those who need or prefer it. Pastor Marcus will be between the distribution stations to bless the children
He has risen, indeed!
The trumpet blossoms of the Easter lily announce the resurrection of our Lord. So too, our loved ones who have gone on before us have the hope of Christ’s resurrection as well. The lilies and flowers this morning are in memory of parents, husbands, wives, children & those dear to us.
These lilies and flowers are in loving memory of:

To the glory of God by the St. John’s Women of the ELCA
How fair and lovely is the hope that the Lord gave to the dead when he lay down beside them. Rise up and come forth and sing praise to him who has raised you from destruction. -- Syrian Orthodox Liturgy

At St. John’s Annual Meeting in January, the congregation endorsed the Council decision to not continue subscribing to the Lutheran Magazine on the every member plan. Members are now receiving a notice from the publisher asking if they wish to continue to subscribe at their own expense. St. John’s will receive a few copies that will be on the ushers’ table or in the library when it is established. If you do not wish to subscribe, those copies will be available to borrow.
We thank all those who have helped with the services this morning and all through Holy Week.
