Our
mission is to provide caring people with good companion animals.
When
thinking of adopting a new pet ask yourself these questions.
* How may
hours a day will the animal be left alone?
* Do
I have the appropriate area for
exercise?
* Do
I have children to consider?
* Do I
have other companion pets to consider?
* Do I
have the financial resources to care for a new pet?
* Am I
willing to commit to this new pet for the entirety of its life?
* Will I
keep this new pet as a loving member of my family ?
If you have decided a of pet is best for you
lifestyle, visit the
Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society !
* Make the staff aware of what you are looking
for in a new pet.
* Ask the staff questions. They can help you
find a pet for your lifestyle.
* A playroom is available for you to interact
with the pet.
* If the new pet you desire isn’t available
the staff can take your
information and place it in our “Request Book”.

You have decided on a new pet, now the adoption process
will begin.
* You
will need to fill out an adoption application. If you rent we will
need
to verify with your landlord you are able to have pets where you
live.
* Your
information will then be placed with the animal’s information.
* The
adoption contract “terms of agreement” will need to be read and
signed.
* If your new pet hasn’t been
spayed or neutered, an appointment
will be made.
* No pet
can go home the day of adoption unless already altered.
* The
pet will stay at JCARL until the day of
its appointment.
JCARL staff will take your new pet to the veterinarian.
The
day following surgery you can pick the
animal up at the vet!
