This year our club will be hold our show in our brand
new Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.
We plan to celebrate it with the
theme Treasures Of Southeast Iowa. Come celebrate with us.
For the first time we will be
a part of our Communities First Friday of the Month Art Walk. If
you plan to come on Friday
you would be wise to come early
because our community's Art Walk is a major event with lot's to see, taste
and hear.
We plan to have 10 dealers at our show where visitors will be able to purchase minerals, slabs, geodes, fossils, jewelry, gemstones, carvings, specimens, faceting rough, lapidary equipment & rock polishing supplies, silversmithing supplies, demonstrations and much more. We have a book tables that offers lots of hard to find books and materials on geology, the lapidary hobby, collecting minerals, dinosaurs, outdoor activities in Iowa and for children's education in these things.
There will be added activities fro the kids. The 'Ol Glory Hole Mine will return better than ever providing you a place to search for your own treasures and goodies (kids love it, adults too). Once more the GOLD CREEK MINE will be in operation. The Spinning Wheel will be there where you always win something.
Of course, there will be a silent auction of a wide variety of materials that runs continuously throughout the show. Door prizes are drawn regularly and you must be present to win one of these prizes. Our two grand prizes are high quality and valuable items often worth a number of dollars. You must register to be eligible for this drawing but it is not necessary to be present. Winners for these grand prizes are drawn at the end of the show.
Some pictures from the past.
